Suffolk Golf Union
The Suffolk Golf Union has updated Competition Rules in 2021 and players are strongly advised to carry a copy of the England Golf Hard Card 2021 when competing in Suffolk Golf Union competitions. There is no hard copy this year but a copy can be downloaded and printed from https://www.englandgolf.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/Hard-Card-2021.pdf. Suffolk Golf Union has adopted EGU policies on Pace of Play, Code of Conduct and Transportation and entrants should be aware of these to avoid breaching these. Details of these can be found on the SGU Website.
Specific Conditions of Entry for the Suffolk Junior Championship (Boys)
a) The Championship Meeting will be held each year. The 36 medal scratch prize winner will receive The Mackenzie Cup. (There is a separate event of 18 holes stableford for those with higher handicaps or under 14 yrs. Under 14 age group players that hold single figure handicaps at the time of the event may play in the Mackenzie Cup competition. )
b) The qualification for the above will be as for County Competitions.
c) Competitors age qualification criteria is age on January 1st in the year of the competition.
d) During play parents/guardians are requested to stay beyond 50 metres of their child. Persistent infringements may result in disqualification of the player
e) The Championship will be decided by Medal Play over 36 holes off Scratch. In the event of a tie there will be a playoff. All other categories and prizes will be decided on count back
f) All entrants will play a morning round with those contesting the Mackenzie cup completing a second round in the afternoon
g) Prizes will be awarded for the , scratch and handicap winners and runners up in the 36 hole competition. Prizes will be awarded to the winner and runner up of the 18 hole stableford competition.
h) Lunch is provided for competitors in this Championship. (as described in comments section.)

As a condition of entry, participants agree to the SGU rules and procedures.
