Online Entry for Suffolk Open Championship 2024

The Suffolk Golf Union has updated Competition Rules in 2023 and players are strongly advised to carry a copy of the England Golf Hard Card 2023 when competing in Suffolk Golf Union competitions. There is no hard copy this year but a copy can be downloaded and printed from England Golf.

Suffolk Golf Union has adopted EGU policies on Pace of Play, Code of Conduct and Transportation and entrants should be aware of these to avoid breaching these.

Specific Conditions of Entry for the Suffolk Open Championship
a) The Championship Meeting will be held each year with the winner receiving the Farraday Trophy, the leading amateur receiving the Chris Easterbrook Trophy and the leading Professional receiving a cash voucher.
b) Professionals must be a bona fide member of the Suffolk PGA or affiliated to a Suffolk club and shall not have taken part in any golf championship of any other County in the same calendar year. Professionals who were born in Suffolk or have played of the SGU First team or second team as an amateur are also eligible to play.
c) The amateur qualification for the above will be as for all County Competitions.
d) The Championship will be decided by Medal Play over 36 holes off Scratch.
e) Prizes will be awarded for the best morning, afternoon and all-day scratch scores and one all-day handicap score. No player will receive more than one prize.
g) A current list of entries received for all championships is displayed on the SGU website
h) The top Amateur not already qualified will be invited to play in the Presidents Mashie (Suffolk Matchplay Championship) on Sunday 29th September 2024 at Bungay and Waveney Valley GC.

As a condition of entry, participants agree to the SGU rules and procedures.

This will be a shotgun start but the playing groups will be displayed after the closing date.
This competition requires that fees be paid to complete entry. If the payment process is not completed, your entry may be removed.
